Google declares Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 dead.

Google have been sending out emails to administrators of “Google Apps” sites notifying them that they will no longer support Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 for Google Docs and Google Sites editor on March 1, 2010, and Google Mail and Google Calendar later on this year.  Their reasoning?  IE 6 doesn’t have fast enough JavaScript processing and don’t support HTML5 standards.

Looks like Google is psyched about JavaScript and HTML5.  Time to follow suit.
