How To Install a PHP Proxy Server

Lifehacker posted recently on creating a PHP Proxy server using PHProxy.  This helps you get around any restrictions to web sites  imposed by a firewall.  Here’s how to install it on your PHP webserver:

1. Download the file

Visit PHProxy on SourceForge, and download the code.

2. FTP the files to a directory on your web server.  I chose to install it on a subdomain.

**Alternatively, you can use the wget utility from the command line instead.

3. Point your browser to the new directory

As of this writing, PHProxy was on version 0.5b2.
